New Principal for Warwick State High School

This week, Warwick State High School welcomed new Principal Joy Craig.  Mrs Craig comes to Warwick from Clifton State High School, where she was Principal for almost 6 years.
In her first two days at Warwick State High School, Mrs Craig has had the opportunity to meet and speak with both students and staff.  She believes that one of the most rewarding parts of her job is assisting students and staff achieve their full potential and celebrating their achievements.
Mrs Craig began her career as a physical education teacher in Brisbane, and moved to the Darling Downs after spending almost 20 years teaching at schools in Logan city.  She hails from a rural background and grew up in the southern highlands of New South Wales.  An avid horsewoman, Mrs Craig regularly competes in endurance events.  She recently competed in the Tom Quilty Gold Cup endurance race, where she was awarded a Tom Quilty endurance ride buckle for completing the 100km race within the 24 hours allowed.
“Perseverance and endurance, which are important in the Tom Quilty, are just as relevant to education and life in general” Mrs Craig said.
Mrs Craig looks forward to meeting with parents and caregivers at the many school events scheduled during this term.
