As part of the Jumpers and Jazz festival, Warwick State High School
Year 12 Multi-Arts students have been decorating trees around the school and in
the main street. Their entry in the
Bohemian Theme section is titled “Settle Down for Love” with the message “the
swirls are the love that is free and the bright colours is the freedom to
love”. The design features coloured pom
poms, wire spirals, a variety of dream catchers and includes a chair covered in
brightly coloured Mandela designs.
Students from the Special Education Unit are participating in
the festival by decorating a tree in the Bohemian theme. They have created masks
decorated with beads, colourful dream catchers and butterflies to decorate
their tree.
The school’s Instrumental Music students are also involved in the
festival with the Saxophone Ensemble, Stage Band and the “Cool School” Jazz
Ensemble performing at venues throughout the town.
