Welcome to the Warwick State High School website. The Warwick community is very proud of its local secondary school. Founded in 1912, Warwick State High School is one of the oldest educational institutions in Queensland.

Our gracious heritage buildings reflect a proud tradition of educational excellence while modern classrooms and modern facilities provide the environment and resources to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st century. Enrolments stand at approximately 860 students.

Success at Warwick State High School is measured by daily commitment to:

  • Attendance: every day, every lesson, on time
  • Attitude: excellent behaviour and effort
  • Achievement: personal best and a qualification for every school leaver,

and is underpinned by our school values of:

  • Responsibility (teaching and learning)
  • Respect (for self, others and property)
  • Relationships (safe and supportive)

In the end, success at study involves hard work and commitment. As Principal of the school, I am committed to developing a first class education system that meets the unique needs of your child. To maximise learning is our school’s central priority and we believe that every student is capable of success.

In order to maximise learning, the Warwick State High School environment is characterized by:

  • A flexible, broad and coherently organised curriculum.
  • High quality teaching and learning practices matched by high quantity teaching and learning time.
  • Quality time for teachers to reflect on, evaluate and improve curriculum and teaching.
  • Literacy and thinking skills as key organising principles for all our programs.
  • Commitment to developing confident and productive users of new technologies.
